The convention was very small, not a whole lot of costumes, merchandise, events, and etc. but Jay-la said it was because everyone was all hyped up on Friday, then finally lost all of their energy by the end of Saturday. I saw Jay-la there, which made me happy, but she had the tendency to randomly wander off and I only saw her twice.
I acted like an idiotic moronic over-hyped twit today. When driving there, I didn’t check my blind spot and ended up cutting someone off and almost getting in a wreck. And then I was talking to Jay-la’s friend and asked if there were any Silent Hill people and they showed up on Friday. I missed them!! ;_; I kinda freaked out and got loud and scared Jay-la’s friend. The cosplayers were nurses, too, I have never seen nurses before at a con.
I acted my nerkiest (nerd/geek) at this particular con. Acted less shy, and more stupid and fangirly. Got about 10 hugs out of the hug bunny here (saw him several times at the last con) and then ran at top speed after Greil (Black Butler). I’ve only done that twice now, the first time being when I ran after Pyramid Head. Me and Kathy left the place really early, though, at about 1:00.
This makes the third convention I’ve gone to, and the fourth social anime/game event. Been to Anime Stl., Natsu con, and the first one I forget but had something to do with waffles. That was the theme, something to do with waffles… yes… And also went to an anime picnic. Next up is Bishie-con, and I hope to see Kali there. It’s sometime in September, actually.
Expect to see lots of girls dressed up as guys doing “yaoi”—kissing and smacking around with yaoi paddles. This one should be bigger and… at times, disturbingly crazy. In a good way, of course?
